He was predeceased by : his parents, William Wolverton and Helen Wolverton; his wife Bridget; his siblings, Rose Shaeffer, Lewis Wolverton, Evelyn Baron and William Wolverton; and his children-in-law, Russell Serafino and Rachel Wolverton.

He is survived by : his children, Margaret Herman (Joseph Tardanico), James G. Wolverton, John P. Wolverton and Kevin I. Wolverton; his grandchildren, Jennifer Saxton, Kristyne Kalmowitz, Sarah Wolverton and Katie Calliendo; and his great grandchildren, Katherine, Dylan and Claire.
