He was predeceased by: his parents, George B. and Mary A. Merlo (Olah). He is survived by: his son Joseph J. Merlo, Jr. of Danville, PA; his siblings, William (Phyllis) of Pohatcong Township, NJ, George A. (Charleen) of Castle Pines, CO and Judith "Judy" Ann Merlo of Pohatcong Township; his grandchildren, Nicholas A. Merlo and Lindsay Hanley; his great grandchildren, Leonardo and Landon; and his son Michael A. Merlo.
