We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2025, at the age of 74, Paula S Getter of Phillipsburg, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Paula departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Paula may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Paula leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Smetana and Julia Smetana (Kucharik); her husband Frank Getter; and her siblings, Dolores Jacobovitz (Smetana) and Carl Smetana.
She is survived by: her sons, Matthew and Ryan Getter; and her grandson Garrett Getter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Doyle-Devlin Funeral Home, Inc. (695 Corliss Ave, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Devlin Funeral Home (695 Corliss Ave, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865).
