It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mayer Sr. of Piscataway, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on November 28, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Frederick Mayer and Florence Mayer; his wife Edna England Mayer; his grandchildren, Christina Barrett Michaels and Brian Mayer; and his siblings, Flo, Eva and Fred.

He is survived by : his children, Carol Mayer Barrett Caswell, John Mayer, Jr. (Diane), George Mayer (June), Michael Mayer (Wendy), Raymond Mayer (Nancy), James Mayer (Cathy), Frederick Mayer (Liz), Margie Mayer Moore and Eugene Mayer (Jeff); and his siblings, Edna, George and Marilyn. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
