He is survived by: his wife Priyamvada; his daughters, Sujal Desai (Nilesh) of Piscataway and Dipal Mehta (Jogen) of Piscataway; his brother Kishore D. Desai of Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren, Kiran, Roshni Desai, Shivam and Shailey Mehta.
