We bid farewell to Sylvia J. Oakes (Pitman, New Jersey), born in Pleasantville, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 9, 2025 at the age of 88. Sylvia touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Munro Sours and Margaret Sours; her husband Richard Oakes; her sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Irwin and Barbara Dingler; and her granddaughter Meghan McNichol.
She is survived by: her family Philadelphia; her children, Robyn Hinman (Donald), Michele McNichol (William), Dawn Lippincott (Ronald) and Chris Miller (Kristi); her grandchildren, Jesse (Elizabeth), Jenifer (Salvatore), Laura (Kevin), John, Kyle (Michelle), Ross, Ronald (Stephanie), Shane (Angela), Chelsea, Ali, Ronnie, Jake, Wezlee, Shaunna, Brady, Dakota and Kyan; and her stepchildren, Christine and Ricky Gibbons. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
