He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Metzger, Sr. and Agnes Metzger; and his son Lawrence Metzger, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Thompson Helget Metzger; his children, Richard Metzger (Donna), MaryAnne Metzger (Charles), Lori Horner (Yanaka) and Allen Helget (Dawn); his grandchildren, Kristen, Richard Allen, Daniel, Nicholas Metzger, Michelle Estrin, Dakota Chalmers, Jaimie Northcutt, Samuel Bernal and Derrick Helget; his great grandchildren, Dante, Madison, Julia, Nicholas Jr., Gabriella, Isabella and Avery; his brothers, Raymond, Robert, Eugene "Butch", Kenneth and Francis Metzger; and his niece Sadie.
