Ann Richards Obituary

Plainfield: Ann Murphy Richards, age 81, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. She was a life long Plainfield resident. She loved her early travels with her husband to the islands. She was an avid reader, cookbook collector and a diehard NY Yankees fan. Her life centered around the children that surrounded her.

She is predeceased by her parents, John F. and Hilda Murphy; her brother, Roger Murphy and her son, Michael DeSiena in 2007. Surviving are her loving husband of 45 years, Kenneth Richards; her sons, Rick DeSiena and his wife Kathy of Medford, NJ and Robert DeSiena and his wife Barbara of Woodstock, NY; her daughters, Karen Tufaro and her husband Mark of Peapack, NJ and Michelle Durning and her husband Michael of Plainfield; her daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen DeSiena of Harmony, NJ; her 9 grandchildren, Jill and her husband Art, Robert, Lizzie, Allie, Ace, Timmy, Markie, Romie and Carrie and her brother, John F. Murphy, Jr. and his wife Pat of Dunellen.

She is also survived by a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 1:30 pm. At Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of the service. Cremation is private.
