It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clair McNeill in Plainfield, New Jersey, born in Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ruben McNeill; her children, Clara Ruth Stanton and Eric McNeill; her grandson William Foster Stanton; and her parents, Prudence Evans Chavis and David Chavis (Prudence Chavis).
She is survived by: her sons, Ruben McNeill, Jr. (Karima Brown), Jeffery McNeill (Angela Murphy) of Plainfield, NJ and Carl McNeill (Debra) of Mechanicsburg, PA; and her grandchildren, Paris, Daisah, Chelsea Hill (Afiy), Simona, Brittany, Jazlyn, Jalyne, Mekhi, Johara, Amirah, Sarai McNeill, Zhianne Chanione and Zanya Chanione. She is also survived by family members and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (324 Monroe Ave, Plainfield, NJ 07063). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
