She was predeceased by: her parents, James Irby and Lola Irby; her husbands, Cornilius Hardie and Charles Brown; her children, Rudolph Hardie, Rodney Hardie, Anthony Hardie and Shama Brown-Garcia; and her brothers, James H. Irby Jr. and William D. Irby.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Taylor-McLaughlin, Leon Hardie, Lisa Hardie and Jacqueline Brown; her siblings, John Irby (Carolyn), Donald Irby, Hermon Irby (Marge) and Lillian Irby-Buggs; and her sister-in-law Sylvia Irby. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
