As Janice departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Janice may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Janice leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Girard William Lee and Willa Mae Lee (Sidney). She is survived by: her sons, Allan Jr. (Joan) and Derrick (Angela); her granddaughters, Lynsi (Terence), Loryn (Maurice) and Alyssa (Quinton); her sister Dorian Chase (Clifton); and her nephews, Bakari, Darnell and Tajiri. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews – and a village of friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sharon Community Church (825 W 7th St, Plainfield, NJ 07063). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
