He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Monroe and Eunice Washington Monroe; and his siblings, Latania Franklin, John Calvin Monroe and Robert Earl Monroe.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his children, Derrick Dixon (Mitisha) and Romello Monroe (Maya); his grandchildren, Cornell, Kemari, Khalil, Khaleb, William (Zai), Keyani, Kayla, Max and Jalen; his great grandchild Naeem; and his siblings, Bishop Willie Monroe (Wendy), James Monroe (Janie), Nadine Copeland, Malton Monroe (Barbara), Jamil Taylor (Diane), Lawrence Cobb (Siddeeqah), Tamika Cobb, Johnathan Lindsey, Stephon Monroe (Tara), Eugene Monroe (Nureya), Tina Lindsey and Amanda Lindsey.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Ruth Fellowship Ministries (733 S 2nd St, Plainfield, NJ 07060). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
