She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Gaines, Sr. and Beatrice Gaines; and her siblings, Cheryl Mason, Janice Lee, Stanette Reese (Stephanie Ingram) and Stanley Gaines Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Kia Thompson (Marion), Tyra Gaines and Robert Cole (Ajah); her sisters, Chonita Middleton (Anthony) and Sandra Hickson (Clinton); her brother-in-law Harold Ingram, Sr.; her grandchildren, Dawn Gaines, Robert Cole, Jr., Jahmir Cole and Jordan Cole; and her great grandchildren, Amaiya Gaines and Carter Hall. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
