He is survived by: his wife Susan (Matthews); his children, Amy Testino, Dr. Ian Fecko (Tricia), Beth Mahler (Michael) and Dr. Jason Fecko (Christie); his grandchildren, Jake Maines, Robert John Testino, Josh Mahler, Kayla Testino (Tiana), Lindsey Mahler, Aidan Fecko, Bryn Fecko, Reilly John Mahler, Gavin Fecko, Evan John Fecko, Ella Fecko and Braden Fecko; and his grodchildrens, Christine McLaughlin and Tori Mislan.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Scanlan Funeral Home (781 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Mary's RC Church (17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442).
John has requested in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either: Pierre Toussant Food Pantry (where he volunteered for 30 years with his wife Susan) c/o St. Benedicts School, 520 Martin Luther King Blvd Newark NJ 07102 or St. Mary's Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes NJ 07442.
