He was predeceased by: his mother Rose Pecena Sommer. He is survived by: his daughters, Arlene, Ellen (David) and Cynthia (Andy); his grandchildren, Rebecca (Dan), Nat (Lulu), Eric (Marina), Bethany (Ian), Brian, Carter and Kimberly; his great grandchildren, Alex, Luka, Basil, Clementine and Cora; and his caregivers, Catherine, Mavis, George and Grace.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Elizabeth's Church (169 Fairmount Rd, Ridgewood, NJ 07450). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
