In the sacred silence of farewell, Cheryl is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Cheryl's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Hooyman and Marian Hooyman; her son Matthew Hooyman (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Nicholas and Julia; her siblings, Tom and Ruth; her husband Robert; and her brother Ed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Scanlan's-Where Life (781 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the First Reformed Church Cemetery (529 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444).
