We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Joseph Xavier Meehan Jr. of Pompton Plains, New Jersey, born in Orange, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Xavier and Helen Meehan; and his sisters, Patricia Connell, Joan Lockwood and Grace Claire Meehan.

He is survived by : his wife Diane; his children, Meghan Whalen and Joseph Xavier Meehan, III; his children-in-law, James Charles Whalen and Anna Simonsen-Meehan; his grandsons, Alrik Xavier Meehan, James Xavier Whalen, Eskil Joseph Meehan and Cooper Patrick Whalen; his brother Daniel Meehan (June); and his brothers-in-law, Alfred Villavecchia (Lenore) and Robert Lockwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to in Joe's name to: The Trustees of Columbia University Lung Transplant Program.
