Maria Cannata Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Maria Cannata (Pompton Plains, New Jersey) is shared. Maria, born on January 17, 1929, passed away on July 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Maria will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Maria by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Maria is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Maria’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gaetano; her daughter Lillina Cannata; and her siblings, Joseph and Pietrina Barbarotta. She is survived by: her son Giuseppe Cannata (Lisa); and her brothers, Emilio and Vincenzo Anello. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
