William Wetzel Obituary
The memory of William Wetzel (Pompton Plains, New Jersey), who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred and Mary; and his brother Ronald. He is survived by: his wife Doreen Kirchner; his nephews, Mark Wetzel (Kim), Rick Wetzel (Lin Hamlin), Joe Arena (Tom D'Eletto) and Bobby Arena; and his niece Jessica Cicalo (Wynn).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cedar Crest Chapel (1 Cedar Crest Dr, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Cedar Crest Resident Care Fund (1 Cedar Crest Drive, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444) or to a charity of your choice.
