It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William John Whelan of Port Murray, New Jersey, born in Morristown, New Jersey, who passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint William John leaves upon our hearts remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas H. Whelan and Rosemarie K. Whelan (Shinkowski); and his brother Thomas Whelan. He is survived by : his children, Haley Ciaravino (Kyle) and William Whelan; and his siblings, Linda Bell (Joseph), Kathleen Coppersmith (Kevin), Diane Amaral (Michael) and Robert Whelan (Donna). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Union Cemetery (905 High St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840).
