He was predeceased by: his father George (Mary Bernhardt); his former wife Mary Lou Bernhardt; his siblings, Georgia Cowan, Mary Kristy Rugerio and Bruce Bernhardt; and his grandson Dylan Francis.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Bernhardt of Port Norris; his children, William G. Bernhardt II (Lisa) of Vineland, Kelly Francis (Marty) of Vineland, Hope Angelastro (Chris), Deptford, Holly Ottinger (Chip) of Philadelphia and Ernie Bernhardt (Megan) of Vineland; his sister-in-law Denise Sayell of Vineland; his brother Mark Bernhardt of Millville; and his siblings-in-law, George Cowan of Pittsgrove and Carol Bernhardt of Cedarville, NJ.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
