He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Wallace and Esther Thornwall Johnson; and his siblings, Genevieve Jean Johnson and Robert Clifton Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hynds Johnson; and his children, Lowell John Johnson, Michelle Dansereau Johnson of Raleigh, Lesley Johnson-Gelb, Steven Gelb of Oakland, Jennifer Johnson Goodall and David George Goodall of Mill Valley. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
