He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hassler and Mary Hassler (Volk); his wife Sondra Hassler (Bennett); his son Jeffrey; and his siblings, Francis, Morant, John, George, Joseph Jr., Thomas, Ralph, Paul, Robert, David, William, Matilda Green and Gertrude Myers.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah McCutcheon (Don) of Laurens, SC, Patty Hassler, Edward Jr. of Ronceverte, WV, Timothy of Pennsville, Kevin and Susan Hassler of Woolwich Twp; and his significant other Terry Knoebel. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
