He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Correa and Eulalia Correa; and his siblings, Antonia Martinez, Esther Correa, Gloria Martinez, Adrian Correa and Carmelo Correa.

He is survived by: his wife Ramona Morales Correa; his children, Joanne E. Lopez of Avenel, NJ and Melvin E. Correa of Mount Laurel, NJ; his siblings, Anna Cruz of Florida, Osvaldo Correa of Puerto Rico and David Correa of Puerto Rico; and his grandchildren, Jasmine A. Lopez, Ashley G. Lopez and Amelo Correa.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:15 AM to 9:45 AM at the Central Baptist Church (505 Wylie St, Avenel, NJ 07001). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:15 AM at the Rosehill Cemetery (792 E Edgar Rd, Linden, NJ 07036).
