She was predeceased by: her parents, Gabriel Fabian, Sr. and Eva Kairsten; her husband Edward; and her siblings, Elizabeth, John, Alec, Gabriel, George, Jessie and Andrew.
She is survived by: her sons, Eric Rickes (Judy) and Robert Rickes; her sibling's children, Lillian and Jimmy; her grandchildren, Jennifer Clemens (James), Kristen Hinckley (Russell) and Scott Rickes (Kathleen); and her great grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Jimmy, Lauren, Hazel and Asher.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home (275 W Milton Ave, Rahway, NJ 07065). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Rahway in Hazel's memory.
