He was predeceased by: his brother John "Jack" Wargo. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Wargo (Kosty); his children, Stacy Power (Michael) and Dan Wargo (Kristine Trippiedi-Wargo) of Rahway; his siblings, Judith Warren (Pat) of Trophy Club, Susan Marcino of Rahway and Jeffrey Wargo of Tampa, Florida.; and his grandchildren, Dakota and Kieran Power. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“My wife and I knew Jimmy and his wife and now two grownup and married children as their next door neighbors sharing a common driveway and our concern for NorEasters threatening us with the possibility of destructive flooding of our large backyards. We watched as Jimmy and Kathy raised their two children over a forty year period. Jimmy was a disciplined, loving, and generous father. Stacey and Danny grew up to be such admirable adults.
