We are sad to announce that, on October 3, 2022, at the age of 91, Mary Peter of Rahway, New Jersey, born in Irvington, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mathilda Fehrenbach and Franz Fehrenbach; her husband Joe Peter; and her siblings, Hubert, Frank Fehrenbach, Mathilda Mellusi and Ann Silbernagel.
She is survived by: her friends, Audrey, Jeanne, Mary and Margie; her brother Richard Fehrenbach (Jovita); her children, Cathy Vasfailo (Rudy), Terry Fernandes (John), Linda Brenner, Stephen Peter and Erich Peter (Andrea); her grandchildren, Lisa Vasfailo, Jeffrey Vasfailo (Danielle), Christina Fernandes, Andréa Fernandes (William Saunders), Juliana Haughton (Chris), John Fernandes, Jr. (Brittany), Victor Fernandes (Ashley), Vicki Racelis (Justin), Cindy Brenner, Samantha Brenner, Nicholas Peter and Christopher Peter; and her great grandchildren, Vincenzo Vasfailo, Ava, Preston, Nathan Racelis, Alexander, Anna Haughton, Hazel, Eleanor and Wesley Fernandes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In memory of Mary Peter, the family suggests donations to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey: https://cfbnj.org and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday October 10, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the Pettit-Davis Funeral Home 371 West Milton Ave. Rahway thence to St. Mary's RC Church, Rahway (Divine Mercy Parish) where her funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM.
