He is survived by: his former wife Carmen Sterling Barnes; his sisters, Catherine, Maude Elizabeth and Helen P.; his nieces and nephews, Jordan Sampietro (Megan) and Christopher David Vardijan; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Devon and Ava.
