She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Emerson B. Knight and Katherine H. Knight; her husband Neil; her sister Sylvia Barratt; and her children, Heidi Courtney of Estes Park, CO, Liese Uptegrove of Carmel, NY, Dirck Uptegrove of Morristown, NJ, Eric Uptegrove of Waianae, HI, Pieter Uptegrove of Newton, NJ and Leif Uptegrove of Bolton, MA.. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Emily was a lifelong lover of animals, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one of Emily's favorite charities, Alley Cat Allies (https://secure.alleycat.org*840npi*_gcl_au*MTY0NzU3MzIwMi4xNzIyMzY4NDk4), in her name.
