He was predeceased by: his sister Patty Frede. He is survived by: his wife Carol Smyth; his children, Michael Smyth, Maureen Smyth (Doug Schleifer), Jennifer Waldon (Joe), Kelly Moyes and Kathleen White (Moyes); his grandchildren, Paul Bender, Finn Waldron, Colin Waldron, Phelan Waldron and Emma Smyth; his sisters, Joni Church (John) and Linda MacKinnon (Robert); and his nephew Richard Hamel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
