Jean B. Gates Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on April 7, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Jean B. Gates of Raritan, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John J. Bernard and Elizabeth Dillon Bernard; and her husband Richard M. Gates. She is survived by: her son Mark Gates; her daughter-in-law Kimberly of Kintnersville, PA; her children, Beth Gates (John Farmer) of Raritan Township, NJ, Gary Gates of Ewing, NJ and Matthew Gates; her daughter-in-law Linnette of Penn Yan, NY; her sons, John Gates of Ewing, NJ and Stephen Gates; her daughter-in-law Melanie; and her grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah Gates of Delaware Township, NJ.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the St. Magdalen Church (105 Mine St, Flemington, NJ 08822).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Jean's name to Hunterdon Hospice, HMC Education Center, 215 Route 31 South, Flemington, NJ 08822. Donations can be made on their website by clicking here (https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com).
