She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Barrett and Grace Barrett; her husband Milton Lipton; her children, Joshua and Sara; and her stepchildren, Nancy, Joan and Andy. She was also cherished by many grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council, the Newark Museum, or the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art.
