He was predeceased by: his grandparents, William and Zinia Kitchens; his wife Carol; his parents, Mary Kitchens Bull and Leamon Harness; his siblings, Jimmy Kitchens, Pete Kitchens, Bobby Cava and Sue Sikes; and his granddaughter Maria Harness.
He is survived by: his sons, Joe (Victoria Harness), Gary (Wendy Harness), Jeffrey (Tracy Harness) and Gregory (Robyn Harness); his grandsons, Tyler Harness, Brandon Harness and Brody Harness; his sister-in-law Joan Beyer; his sisters, Kay (Jack French) and Alice Hasenhager; and his stepson Kevin Stephens.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home (85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. James R. C. Church (94 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701).
In lieu of flower donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
