He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert T. Gildea and Elizabeth A. Gildea; and his brothers, Sean and Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Dr. Thomas Gildea of Cleveland Heights, OH, Michael Gildea of Dallas, PA, Ryan Gildea Guthrie of Stedman, NC, Darren Gildea of Chadds Ford, PA and Leah Gildea Frie of Vineland, NJ; and his siblings, Brian Gildea of Sugar Notch, PA and Nancy Gildea Dorzinski of Wilkes-Barre, PA.. He is also survived by grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
