It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek Montas of Ridgefield, New Jersey, who passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 23, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Derek shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Derek farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his parents, Carolina Paez and Hugo C. Montas; his sisters, Luna Gil and Ianka Montas; and his grandparents, Marisol Obregon, Carlos Paez, Sonya, Hugo Montas and Alvaro Obregon.
