(Schaller) Hofmann of Ridgefield, New Jersey, born in Weehawken, New Jersey, who passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Ruth H. departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruth H. may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruth H. leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles "Carly" Hofmann; and her brother Alfred Schaller. She is survived by: her children, Gail Hofmann of Clifton, Robert of Piscataway and Gary (Robin) of Oakland; her grandsons, Kyle Hofmann (Sarah) and Ryan Hofmann; and her great grandchild Martin Hofmann. She is also survived by nephew and five nieces.
Memorial donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 will be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
