It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Filomeno M. Almeida of Ridgewood, New Jersey, who passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brothers, Avito and Renato. He is survived by: his wife Iona; his daughter Laila Almeida (Peter Bolo) of Mountain Lakes, NJ; his grandchildren, Kyle (Jen Garcia), Henry (Katie Carsky) and Isabel; his children, Nathan, Sophia, Madeline, Elliott and Vivian; and his sisters, Celsa and Celia. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws.
