John left this world on February 14, 2026 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fry and Rose Fry; his wife Irene Turnbull of Valentine's Day; his sister Laura; his brothers-in-law, Bill Fankhauser and John Turnbull; his nephews, Gary and Glenn Turnbull; his niece Patricia Taney; and his great-niece Kimberly Turnbull Serso.
He is survived by: his children, John (Cara) and Laurie Kane (Tim); his grandchildren, Mia (Evan Dethier), Nathaniel, Phoebe Fry, Katie, Jack and Caroline Kane; his great grandchild Grey Dethier; his niece Leslie Carson; and his nephews, Lee, Bill Fankhauser, Douglas, Thomas Turnbull and James Taney.
