She was predeceased by: her father English. She is survived by: her husband Keizo; her children, Miyako (Nicholas Carey) and Alisa (Troy Chen); her grandchildren, Maya and Kyrie; and her sisters, Sumiko Wakiya and Michiko Yoshida.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to WQXR and to small local art museums that champion local artists.
