He is survived by: his children, Walter Aloysius McDermott III (Meghan), Katherine Oldak (Ed), Jennifer Cunningham (Jim), Timothy McDermott, Brian McDermott (Gina), Sarah Mancusi (Anthony) and Meg Flood (Jonathan); and his grandchildren, Will, Emma, Sophie, Patrick, Brandon, James, Tyler, Ellie, Ryan, Cole, Sabrina, Austin, Jillian and Dillon.
