He is survived by: his wife Bernadette; his children, Katherine McCahill (Brendan), William Tiernan III and Caroline Jorgensen (Dane); his grandchildren, Elizabeth McCahill, Abby McCahill, Timmy Jorgensen, Liam Jorgensen and Douglas Jorgensen; his siblings, Jane Tiernan of Stamford and Robert Tiernan (Lorie); and his sisters-in-law, Vicki Quigley (Michael), Kathleen Appleton and Regina Burke (John). He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
