Derek K. Gardner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Derek K. Gardner of Ringwood, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Don Gardner; his uncles, Kenny Gardner and Billy Perley; his cousin Patrick Pilger; and his friend Kyle Jascot.
He is survived by: his mother Laura DeVries; his brother Garrett Gardner; his stepfather Paul DeVries; his grandmother Althea Gardner; his stepsiblings, Nicole Heymer (Jason), Erin Greenspan (James) and Alec DeVries (Chrissy); and his stepmother Carol Gardner. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins.
In a conversation with family while navigating the challenges of Long Covid, he spoke about spirituality, meaning, and how people find strength.
