He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kenny and Theresa Kenny (Sheehan); and his brothers, James (Jimmy) and Thomas (Tucker). He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Teresa (Michael Powers) and Ryan (Meghan); his grandchildren, Connor, Sean, Kayleigh, Allie and Emily; and his sister Annemarie Kenny. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, all services for John will be private.

“sorry to hear of your loss, Barbara I wonder if you remember me and Joel? Joel was in your nursery class at the Clubhouse (Skyline Lakes) a very long time ago. Today he is forty-three and serving as a USCG officer in Alaska. Time flies. Our Patrick with Down Syndrome is a resident at Eastern Christian Childrens' Retreat in Wyckoff. I lost my own husband, Jim, in April of last year to cancer. Please accept my condolences for your loss.. Sandra Smith”
