He is survived by: his wife Lucia; his son Steven; his sons-in-law, Michael Engler and Bruce Rettstatt; his grandchildren, Peter, Taylor Sumser, Melanie Rettstatt and Madeline Rettstatt (Kevin Johansmeyer); and his siblings, Ruth Herzog, Erwin and Hubert Sumser.
