She was predeceased by: her parents, Rebecca Bonner and Alfred Bauman; her husband James B. Callahan, Sr.; and her children, Nancy Walsh, Patricia Callahan and James B. Callahan, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Shetler (Gregory), John G. Callahan (Kristin) and Joseph A. Callahan (Sallie); her grandchildren, Sarah Aghajanian (Haig), James Callahan (Samantha), Kevin Walsh, Jennifer Callahan, Bridget Callahan, Regina Nalbone (Michael), John Callahan, Thomas Shetler (Sifat), Conor Callahan, Corinne Hermann (Stephen) and Anna Shetler; and her great grandchildren, Lia, Eva, Cooper, James, Shane, Connor, Luke, Freya and Stephen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan's name may be made to Sacred Heart Church.
