It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita A. Carter (Riverton, New Jersey), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Micciche and Concetta Micciche (Jean); her spouse Bartlett S. Carter; and her daughter Jeannie Rita Carter. She is survived by: her children, NJ, Helen Mary Carter-Costa, Deborah Ann Carter-Bruvik (Peter) and Bartlett Carter (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Athena Rita Kokoronis (Jack), Richard Charles Costa Jr. (Krista), Philip Bartlett Costa, Benjamin Tyler Bruvik, Peter Arthur Bruvik and Maxwell Burt; her great grandchildren, Harriet Kino Haskell Kokoronis, Christopher Bartlett Carter, Anastasia Colette Kukis Costa and Steele Benjamin Kukis Costa; and her brothers, Peter Micciche (Gloria) and Vincent Micciche. She is also survived by other loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia.
