He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Cairns, and Thomas A. Cairns, Sr.; and his siblings, Jack Cairns, Peggie Tomeo and Joan Crimmins.
He is survived by: his wife Marie "Mimi" Cairns; his children, Tom Cairns III (Colleen), Suzanne Cairns Wells, John Cairns (Pam) and Barbara Shea (Dan); his grandchildren, Rose, Tommy, Camille, Reed Wells, Michael, Katie Cairns, Caroline Shea, Kathryn Castro (Danny), Nina and Dan Shea; his great grandchild Nico Castro; and his caregiver Lilliana Silva. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Donations in his memory to Sacred Heart Church, 103 4th Street, Riverton NJ 08077 would be preferred.
