It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Patricia Barbato of Rockaway, New Jersey, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Alice shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Alice farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Borough (Grace Flatt) and Rockaway Borough; and her husband Ralph Barbato. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Pestritto (Nick) and Philip Barbato (Robyn); and her grandchildren, Harper and Zephyr Barbato. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home (20 Keller Ave, Rockaway, NJ 07866). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (65 E Main St, Rockaway, NJ 07866).
