We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Jay O'Brien (Roseland, New Jersey). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard O'Brien and Marguerite O'Brien. He is survived by: his wife Jane M. O'Brien; his children, Kaitlin O'Brien (Michael Ressalei) and John O'Brien; his granddaughters, Maggie and Emma; and his siblings, Richard O'Brien (Lee), Jane Brown (Ken), Donald O'Brien (Jane), Justin O'Brien (Maria) and Margie Kennelly (Michael). He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home (45 Roseland Ave, Roseland, NJ 07068). A Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Aloysius Church (219 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jay's memory to St. Peter's Preparatory School at spprep.org.
