It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph R. Effenberger of Roseland, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on November 28, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Matilda Effenberger (McCloskey) and Francis Effenberger; and his siblings, Edmund, Frank and Kay.
He is survived by : his wife Sandra; his children, Todd, Lauren (Jim), Kristin (Sean) and Craig (Carina); and his grandchildren, Ryan (Aubrey), Matthew (Megan), Kaitlyn, Ashley, James, Alexis and Julia.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Doctors without Borders would be greatly appreciated.
